practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Dhunmun is a free application. It does not sell your personal information and
does not process any in-app purchases or subscription payments.

- Account information: name, email address, phone number, and password when you register or sign in.
- Verification data: one-time passwords (OTP) used to verify your account or reset your password.
- Third-party sign-in: when you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from those providers to create or match your account.
- Profile details: any information you add or change in your profile, including an optional profile photo.
- User-generated content: reviews, ratings, likes, and favorites you create in the App.
- Support communications: messages you send us by email.
b) Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: device model, operating system version, app version, language, and general device identifiers used for app functionality and security (for example, our version/force-update check).
- Usage data: books and chapters played, listening progress and history, and in-app activity.
- Push notification token: a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token used to deliver notifications to your device.
- Diagnostic data: basic error and log information used to detect and fix problems.
c) Content Stored on Your Device
- Offline downloads: audio you choose to download for offline listening is stored in the App's private, encrypted storage on your device. This content stays on your device and is not uploaded to us.
d) Payment Information
- The App is free and does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions. We do not collect, receive, or store any card, bank, or other financial information.
3. Device Permissions We Use
The App requests only the permissions needed to function:
- Internet / network access: to stream and download audio and communicate with our servers.
- Notifications: to show push notifications (you can disable these in your device settings).
- Foreground service / media playback: to continue audio playback and show media controls on the lock screen and notification shade.
- Storage (scoped, app-private): to save offline downloads within the App's own storage.
The App does not request the Android Advertising ID (AD_ID) permission; it has been explicitly removed.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To create, manage, and secure your account and authenticate sign-in.
- To provide audiobook streaming, playback, offline downloads, playlists, listening history, and favorites.
- To gate content to signed-in users (guests can access limited free content).
- To send push notifications (new releases, updates, and account alerts).
- To display non-personalized (contextual) advertisements through Google AdMob, including optional rewarded ads you can watch to unlock certain actions such as downloads.
- To improve app performance, diagnose issues, and develop new features.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To comply with legal obligations and to prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
5. Advertising
We show advertisements through Google AdMob to keep the App free. These ads are
served in non-personalized (contextual) mode only:
- We do not collect or use the Android Advertising ID (AAID) or Apple IDFA, and the App does not present an App Tracking Transparency prompt because it does not track you across apps or websites.
- Ads are not based on your personal profile or cross-app behavior.
- Google may still process limited data (such as coarse, non-identifying signals and IP address) to serve and measure contextual ads and to prevent fraud, as described in Google's policies.
Learn more at How Google uses information from AdMob.

- With the service providers listed above, strictly as needed to operate the App.
- When required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
- To protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or the App.
- In connection with a business transfer (e.g., merger or acquisition), with notice to you.
8. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to
provide our services. We delete or anonymize your data when it is no longer required, or
when you delete your account (see Section 9). Data required to meet legal, tax, or
security obligations may be retained for as long as the law requires.
9. Your Rights & Account / Data Deletion

10. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including
encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for data in transit and encrypted, app-private storage for
offline downloads on your device. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure,
and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's Privacy
Dhunmun is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and
we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has
provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. International Data Transfers
Your information may be stored and processed on servers located outside your country, including
where our service providers operate. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your
information to these locations, which may have different data-protection laws than your own.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with
a revised "Last updated" date, and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continued use of
the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
